Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women

Since 1989, the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has
been healing women and children from Central Florida and around the
world with care, compassion and leading edge medical care.
Arnold Palmer Hospital is truly the "hospital built for kids" and has
many resources to assure the safe arrival of babies into the world. The
obstetrics department is prepared to handle any type of pregnancy and
delivery, and features "all-in-one" birthing rooms equipped for labor,
delivery and recovery.
Arnold
Palmer Hospital for Children relies on a family-centered
philosophy to create a unique child-based environment. Specially
designed programs help children adapt to hospital life through play
activities including a special outdoor fun area called "Play Works".
The obstetrics department is prepared to handle any type of pregnancy
and delivery and features all-in-one birthing rooms. In addition to these services, the
hospital also features the Arnold Palmer Heart Institute, a joint
effort with the Nemours CardiacCenter. A team of world-renowned
cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists are devoted to treating
congenital heart disease, and a special procedure at the hospital is
enabling some infants born with congenital heart defects to undergo
lifesaving open-heart surgery without a blood transfusion.
And, as part of Orlando Regional Healthcare - a community-owned, not
for profit medical provider - Arnold Palmer Hospital has access to a
wide range of services, including the area's only Level One Trauma
Center and Central Florida's only hospital-based Air Care Team.
